Shell reply (Dr. Kay): Plot and Tower Mapping - replaces the farm-map labels

Summary
Dr. Kay answered our plot-label question. Towers do not map one-to-one to plots, so each tower is linked to the agroecosystem around it. Use this table for chart labels and treat it as context until PVAMU confirms it.
Key findings
- Why it is not one-to-one: each tower measures a changing footprint that depends on its location, height, wind direction, and the surrounding field. The field has 6 plots and 8 towers, so overlap is expected.
- PLOT 1 - Crop (Sorghum/Corn) - Control - Tower 13
- PLOT 2 - Crop (Sorghum/Corn) - Treatment - Towers 3 and 6
- PLOT 3 - Pasture - Treatment - Towers 2 and 5
- PLOT 4 - Crop (Sorghum/Corn) - Treatment - Towers 4 and 6
- PLOT 5 - Pasture - Control - Towers 14 and 5
- PLOT 6 - Pasture - Treatment - Towers 1 and 5
- WHAT CHANGED: this replaces the farm-map labels we used before. For example, Tower 6 is now linked to two treatment plots (2 and 4), not to Sorghum-Treatment-2 alone. Towers 5 feeds two plots.
- CAUTION from Dr. Kay: this mapping is for context and may not be fully accurate. The PVAMU team must confirm it.
- DATA CAUTION: the plots had about three years of ploughing, planting, weeding, harvesting, fertilizer, and biochar applications. Plot the raw data first, then look for patterns and match them to when things happened.
- LABEL CHARTS BY PLOT, not by tower alone. Show which towers feed each plot.
- NEXT: Dr. Kay will send an invitation to connect with Prof. Ram Ray and the PVAMU team, and a farm visit this Wednesday (Oct 7). Dr. Kay will also add plot and intervention photos to the eShare folder.
